LOUIS STONE DOES RIO DE JANEIRO

Postcards (And Other Stuff) From the Edge

This is my collection of postcards and miscellaneous items I picked up while I was wandering Rio.  The first one requires a little explanation. Porcão is a popular restaurant in Brazil where they have some sort of all-you-can-eat thing. I was taught that porcão means 'pork' and so I had a heck of a time trying to get food because all the menus said something like R 1.99/porção. Which, after I finally embarrassed myself in front of half of Cecilia's family, I learned means per portion. That little squiggly thing under the 'ç' means a lot.

Passport Visa
They took passport photos. I thought I'd get something cool.
"Proof" that I entered Brazil.
