Basically talking about how Madigan hoping for a Topinka victory to set up her gubernatorial run in 2010. Logic being that Topinka would have to raise some taxes to fix the budget mess that Illinois is in and then Madigan can come in 2010 with the hard work having been already done and blame Topinka for tax increases, etc. I read an interesting editorial the other day (I think it was the Trib, but now I can’t find it). I actually wish all Dems had her voting had her voting record, but it's very disconcerning that she is running is running a campaign ad that she knows is false. Madigan has definitely shown a non-partisan effort on her part. Hynes is ok, but more interested in running for senate when Obama takes the big plunge. Both their opponents are political liftweights.
