We spent a week in Cabo Frio again this
year. You've seen my beach photos before, so I'll spare you this round.
Our sole excursion this time (we dind't even go into Rio) was to
Petropolis. Petropolis is an hour and a half from Rio by bus and is a
city founded by the Emporer. Petropolis is home to Emporer's
summer home
and
Santos Dumont
(who Brazilians credit with the first manned flight).
On this trip, I forgot to bring my digital camera and for some reason,
it was impossible to find a disposable for less than $20. Lucky for me,
I had my handy little Treo to capture the memories. Now you'll
remember that their quality isn't the greatest, so don't complain to
me. Also, pictures taken in the palace were taken through plexiglas
just to make things worse.
And yes...
Jews
live in Petropolis.
That's it. The other pictures sucked. And yes, we did check on the
currency exhibition at the Banco do Brasil. No. It still wasn't open.
