Walking Around

It's just easier to lump a lot of this stuff together than to dedicate separate pages to everything. And I'm lazy...

Times Square (pic 1     pic 2)
It's great to be in a place where you can buy fancy makeup at 1 AM. At Times Square this and many other things are possible.  We did catch a Broadway show.  If you know me, then you know I have zero patience for lines. I could have stood in a three hour line for tickets to Lion King or Mama Mia, but I opted for last year's big show and didn't have to wait in line at all.

Brazil Day Festival (pic 1    pic 2)
Since I didn't have to wait all day in line for tickets I wandered a couple of the side streets near Times Square and stumbled upon little Brazil.  It turns out that they were going to have a festival. So on our way to Central Park the next day, we walked through about a six blocks worth of the festival. There were more Brazilians in this little piece of New York than I had seen in one place in either of my Brazil trips. We were able to feed our cravings for churros and guarana and the sugar buzz definitely helped on the long walk through Central Park.

Chinatown & Little Italy
Only 1 picture came out, and it's of the entrance to Little Italy. We shopped for what seemed like an eternity in Chinatown as Cecilia couldn't decide between the authentic Blueberry duffel or the Pravda purse.
